Kinetic Sessions: The Creative Arts as a Modality for Healing
We had a special event exploring “The Creative Arts as a Modality for Healing.” The evening included performances by creative artists exploring themes related to mental health as well as a “Healing Circle” group discussion. The evening also included a panel of wellness practitioners that discussed the emotional challenges many of us faced during the pandemic. Below are some of the images from an insightful evening.
Kinetic Sessions: Holiday Celebration
What a way to end a productive year! The band was great! The Open Mic was awesome! The evening was filled with good food, lot’s of fun and rich fellowship. All of that inspired by a deep appreciation for the love of God that lies at the center of the reason for the season!
Kinetic Sessions: Code Black
Inspired by Kirk Franklin’s “Father’s Day” documentary, this intimate gathering of men was a safe space to discuss the impact of fathers who were physically or emotionally absent. Spoken word and hip hop artists kicked off the evening with powerful pieces that set the stage for transparent conversations about this and related themes. Needless to say, the evening was filled with “mic drop” moments! Following are a few photos from this important event.
Kinetic Sessions: The LGBTQ+ Community and Religious Trauma
One of Kinetic's core values is wholistic health and wellness. We believe that a faith community should be a safe space for healing and care. To that end, our event "Healing Beyond the Binaries: The LGBTQ+ Community and Religious Trauma,” featured spoken word artists and a panel discussion to engage this important issue. Following are some of the images from the evening.
